Get Into the River Festival

CONSERVATION DAY

Corporate and community organizations will join in a variety of conservation efforts trailside and in-river along the Jordan River corridor. Activities may include removing trash, pulling weeds, re-seeding areas with native plants, pruning trees, removing graffiti, refreshing paint and other restoration tasks. Volunteer teams will be asked to spend approximately four hours working along the Jordan River.

FESTIVAL DAY

We invite the community to join us in celebrating the Jordan River corridor throughout the day. Come learn about the animals and habitats supported by the river and how communities and individuals are enjoying it each and everyday. There will be educational and recreational demonstrations during the festivities. Bring your bikes, your strollers and your walking shoes and experience the Jordan River Parkway!

The “Get Into the River” Festival, presented by Wells Fargo, is a collaborative effort seeking to highlight the Jordan River & Parkway, as well as bring our community together to conserve and celebrate this open space treasure.

Wells Fargo has made both a financial commitment along with volunteer goals to help make the Jordan River Parkway an environmental and recreational treasure for our valley. Will your corporations join us and help make a difference? During the last two years over 100 Wells Fargo team members have volunteered their time to improve the Jordan river and parkway. By combining our resources with SPLORE’s (a local nonprofit agency), Wells Fargo used canoes to clear the clutter out of the river. During these 4-6 hour canoes trips on the river WF team members have fallen in love with the Jordan River while cleaning out all kinds of trash (cart, bicycles, tires, etc..). Wells Fargo volunteers are making a difference, please join us.
